Western Railway has released the notification for the recruitment of the posts of Contract Medical Practitioners (GDMO) on full time contract basis to work in ISOLATION WARDS of Jagjivan Ram Western Railway Hospital, Mumbai, for a period of three months. Suitable or eligible applicants can appear for the interview on 07-04-2020.

Contract Medical Practitioners (GDMO) Rs. 75000/-p.m. For Retired Govt.(Rly/Central/State) doctors subject to the condition that remuneration + pension drawn by retired doctor should not exceed the last pay drawn at the time of retirement.	05	i) MBBS. (MCI Recognised). ii) Candidates must be registered with MCI/MMC.

Age Limit:- 53 years. First preference will be given to Retired Railway doctors less then 65 years of age.

Willing or eligible applicants should apply through application format.
Applicants may report for the “WALK- IN INTERVIEW” with duly filled application format along with all certificates in original and 2 copies ie D.O.B/M.B.B.S certificate along with mark sheets for each year/ attempt certificate, Registration Number/ Internship completion certificate/ Diploma or Degree certificates/ Clinical experience certificate, if any/testimonials including Caste certificate (if any) and two passport size color photographs on 07-04-2020.

A degree in hotel management and hospitality would come in handy if you apply for pantry supervisors, food quality analysts, etc.

There are also positions like station masters, engine drivers, assistant drivers, yardmasters, motormen, guards and mechanical inspectors that smoothen the entire journey of trains all across the nation.

To make sure there are railway rules maintained, there are ticket collectors, railway maintenance workers, railway police engaged at all times.

Eligibility criteria

The most basic degree requirement for a job in the railway sector is graduating successfully from your 10+2s. Depending on which sector of the railways you really wish to be a part of, the specification for educational qualification changes.

For a cadre size job, you would ideally need Undergrad from Central or state university or a distance degree from a government recognized institution. Age limit should range between 21 and 32 years.

For Technical positions, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or MSc in Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio, Physics or Radio Engineering should do. Age limit for these positions would also be from 21 to 32 years.
