Gujarat Postal Circle has released the notification for the recruitment to the post of Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA), Postman/ Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) under Sports Quota. Eligible candidates can apply before 25-11-2021.

| Postman/ Mail Guard Rs.21700 – 69100 | 56 | (i) Minimum 12th standard pass from a recognized board. (ii) Knowledge of local language i.e Gujarati. The candidate should have studied local language i.e Gujarati at least up to 10th Standard (iii) The candidates will be required to furnish at least 60 days duration basic computer training certificate from a recognized computer training institute before issuance of appointment letter. Computer training certificates from central government/ State Government/ University/ Boards etc will also be acceptable for this purpose. The requirement of a basic computer knowledge certificate shall be relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a subject in matriculation or Class XII or higher educational qualification and in such cases, a separate certificate will not be insisted upon. (iv) Candidates should have a valid license of a two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle. This is applicable only to candidates applying for the post of Postman. |

Application Fee:- The candidates shall have to credit the Application fee of Rs.100/- through e-payment (using Challan Form) in the name of CPMG Gujarat Circle (National E-BILLER ID No. 70140), at any of the computerized Post Offices in India.

- Candidates can download the application form through the Official Link.
- Duly Filled Application along with self-attested copies of all the required documents and certificates should be sent through the Registered/ Speed post to The Assistant Director (Recruitment), Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Gujarat Circle, Ahmedabad- 380001 on or before 25-11-2021 (18:00 hrs).
- Superscribe the envelope with the name of the post.
Selection Procedure:- Selection of candidates will be made on the educational and sports qualification subject to the fulfilment of other prescribed qualifications and successful verification of all documents/ certificates by concerned competent authority submitted failing which candidature will be rejected unconditionally.

| Second Preference | Candidates who have represented a state/ union territory in the senior or junior level national championship organized by the national sports federations recognized by the department of youth affairs and sports or national games organized by the Indian Olympic Association and have won medals or positions up to the third place. Between the candidates participating in senior and junior national championship/ games, the candidates who have participated and won the medals in the senior national championship gets preference |
| Third Preference | Candidates who have represented a University in an Inter-University competition conducted by the association of Indian Universities/ Inter-University Sports Board and have won medals or positions up to third place in finals. |
| Fourth Preference | Candidates who have represented a State Schools in the National Sports/ Games for schools conducted by the All Indian Schools Games federation and have won medals or positions up to the third place. |
| Fifth Preference | Candidates who have been awarded National Award in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive. |
| Sixth Preference | Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory/ University State School teams at the level (II) to (IV) above but could not win a medal or position in the same order of preference. |
Place of Posting:- The selected candidates of all posts are liable to serve anywhere in the Gujarat circle.
Notes:-
- Fees once paid shall not be refunded.
- Incomplete/ unsigned applications will be rejected.
- Age relaxation will be given as per govt rules.
- Application wrongly addressed or received after the due date will be summarily rejected.
- Women/ SC/ST/ Physical Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
- One envelope should contain the application form of one candidate for a single sports discipline only.
- Selected candidates must produce identification documents at the time of verification of original documents.
