Railways can be attributed to the success of the humankind. Quite evidently, railways are considered to be the symbol of progress and development, after all, the industrial era caught pace because of this machine transporting heavy goods from one place to another at breakneck speeds in times when it was considered unimaginable.
Established by the British when India was under the British Raj, the Railways have branched much more and connect even the most inaccessible parts of the country.
The Indian Railway branches over 60,000 kilometres, with over 8000 stations with over 1 lakh kilometres of tracks laid down. This makes Indian railways the most elaborate railway networks around the world.
Another interesting fact here would be that the Indian Railway holds the record for employing the most number of people by any government institution anywhere around the world. Which makes sense, as maintaining the lifeline of the Indian Economy would require as many hands on deck as possible.
Top recruiters in the railway sector
Essentially, the railway recruitment is the fundamental duty of the Railway Recruitment Control Board. All recruitments all over the country are looked after by this department.
