Primarily, considering this is a government job, the onus of recruiting candidates falls on the Union Public Service Commission or the UPSC. The UPSC has the sole task of recruiting Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces. It accomplishes this by conducting two main All-India competitive Examinations namely:
