Soldier General Duty (Women Military Police)

Indian Army conducts recruitment for Soldier General Duty for Women Military Police annually. 

Eligibility

To apply for Soldier General Duty, a candidate must have pursued her matric/10^th/SSLC, or equivalent with 45% aggregate and minimum 35% in each subject.

A candidate must be 17½ to 21 years old.

In terms of physical criterion, a candidate must be minimum 142 cm in height with proportionate weight.

Medical fitness criteria

1. For any candidate, physical and mental health should be right; candidates must not be differently abled. During the recruitment process, selected candidates are required to appear for medical examination. Herein, unfit candidates are transferred to MH/CH/BH for an expert review.
2. Because this recruitment is exclusively for women soldier generals, presence of one/more predominantly masculine characteristics is considered unfit. Moreover, having undergone sex reassignment surgery leads to exclusion from recruitment process.
3. Pregnant women are not applicable to apply for the recruitment process. A candidate must not have conceived at the time of her recruitment process or till the end of training. A medical certificate issued by a government medical doctor, who has MBBS as minimum qualification, must be produced conforming no-pregnancy status of a candidate at the time of recruitment. Similar certificate must be produced at the commencement of training; failing to provide the certificates leads to exclusion of a candidate.

Selection process

For medically fit candidates, a written test is conducted through a common entrance examination wherein negative marking is applied.
