IIT Recruitment 2021 – 72 Professor and Others

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT) has released the notification for the recruitment of Professor and Other Posts. Eligible candidates can apply before 15-07-2021.

Professor Level-14A of the Pay matrix Rs.159100 – 220200	03	Academic Qualification:- For Medical Candidates:- A postgraduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per latest NMC regulations. For Non-Medical Candidates:- (i) Post Graduate qualification e.g Master Degree in the discipline/ allied subject. (ii) A doctorate degree from a recognized university in concerned discipline. Teaching and Research Experience:- For Medical Candidates:- (i) Associate professor in the subject for three years in a permitted/ approved/ recognized medical college/ institution with three publications. Should have 14 years teaching/ research experience in an NMC recognized medical college/ institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/ MS or equivalent. (ii) Research project in lieu of publications/ authorship can be considered only if the person is principal or Co-Principal Investigator of a research project funded by any research body. (iii) Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC. (iv) Should have completed the basic course in biomedical research from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC. For Non-Medical Candidates:- (i) Associate professor in the subject for three years in a permitted/ approved/ recognized medical college/ institution with three publications. Should have 14 years teaching/ research experience in an NMC recognized medical college/ institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining Ph.D degree. (ii) Research project in lieu of publications/ authorship can be considered only if the person is principal or Co-Principal Investigator of a research project funded by any research body. (iii) Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC. (iv) Should have completed the basic course in biomedical research from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC.
Associate Professor Level-13A2 of the Pay matrix Rs.139600 – 211300	18	Academic Qualification:- For Medical Candidates:- A postgraduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per latest NMC regulations. For Non-Medical Candidates:- (i) Post Graduate qualification e.g Master Degree in the discipline/ allied subject. (ii) A doctorate degree from a recognized university in concerned discipline. Teaching and Research Experience:- For Medical Candidates:- (i) Assistant professor in the subject for four years in a permitted/ approved/ recognized medical college/ institution with three publications. Should have 10 years teaching/ research experience in an NMC recognized medical college/ institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/ MS or equivalent. (ii) Research project in lieu of publications/ authorship can be considered only if the person is principal or Co-Principal Investigator of a research project funded by a national research body such as ICMR, DST, DBT or any such body. (iii) Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC. (iv) Should have completed the basic course in biomedical research from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC. For Non-Medical Candidates:- (i) Assistant professor in the subject for four years in a permitted/ approved/ recognized medical college/ institution with three publications. Should have 10 years teaching/ research experience in an NMC recognized medical college/ institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining Ph.D degree. (ii) Research project in lieu of publications/ authorship can be considered only if the person is principal or Co-Principal Investigator of a research project funded by a national research body such as ICMR, DST, DBT or any such body. (iii) Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC. (iv) Should have completed the basic course in biomedical research from institutions designated by MCI/ NMC.
Assistant Professor Level-12 of the Pay matrix Rs.101500 – 167400	13	Academic Qualification:- For Medical Candidates:- A postgraduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per latest NMC regulations. For Non-Medical Candidates:- (i) Post Graduate qualification e.g Master Degree in the discipline/ allied subject. (ii) A doctorate degree from a recognized university in concerned discipline. Teaching and Research Experience:- For Medical Candidates:- 3 years Junior Resident in a recognized permitted medical college in the concerned subject, and should have three years of teaching/ research experience in an NMC recognized medical college/ institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/ MS or equivalent thereto including one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized permitted medical college. For Non-Medical Candidates:- 4 years teaching/ research experience after Ph.D degree.
Senior Resident Level-11 of the Pay matrix Rs.67700 – 208700	38	(i) A postgraduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per latest NMC regulations. Teaching and Research Experience:- (ii) Senior resident is one who is doing his/ her residency in the concerned postgraduate subject after obtaining PG degree/ diploma.

Associate Professor/ Professor	58 years
Assistant Professor	50 years
Senior Resident	45 years
