APSC Recruitment 2020 – 637 Engineer Posts

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical). Eligible candidates can apply before 22-09-2020 (Extended date – 12-10-2020).

Assistant Engineer Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000 P.B-4 with GP of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances	Civil – 190 Mechanical – 58 Electrical – 18 Chemical – 03	Under Irrigation Department, Assam: A candidate must possess a Degree in the respective branch of Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or a candidate having passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institute of Engineers (India) and possessing a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India). Degrees obtained through distance mode of education will not be acceptable. Under the Public Health Engineering Department, Assam: (i) The candidate must possess a Degree in (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical) of an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Govt. or a candidate must have passed ( Parts A & B) of AMIE (India) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical Engineering. (ii) The Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering must be a Regular Course. Bachelors Degree in Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted. (iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Junior Engineer Rs. 14,000 – 60,500 P.B-2 with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- plus Other allowances	Civil – 290 Mechanical – 66 Electrical – 12	A candidate must have passed three years diploma course in the concerned Engineering discipline from an Institution recognized by the Government, SCTE (State Council for Technical Education). Diploma obtained through distance mode of education will not be acceptable.

Assistant Engineer	21 – 38 years
Junior Engineer	18 – 38 years

For General/EWS Candidate	Rs.250
For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC	Rs.150

Fees should be deposited only through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT OF APSC” showing the name of post and department. OR Fees can be deposited online using Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS.

Duly filled in application along with self-attested copies of the relevant documents and Original copy of Treasury Challan should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022 before 22-09-2020 (Extended date – 12-10-2020).
