Karnataka State Police (KSP) has released the notification for the recruitment of Scientific Officer in different sections. Eligible candidates can apply before 18-03-2020.

Scientific Officer (Chemical)	07	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Chemistry/ pharmacology / Bio-Chemistry / Forensic Science / Equivalent qualification in Chemical science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Narcotic)	05	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Physics / Forensic Science / Equivalent qualification in Physical science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Physical)	03	Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (DNA)	09	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Botany / Zoology / Bio-Chemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Forensic Science or Equivalent qualification in Bio-science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Questioned Documents)	05	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Physics or Equivalent qualification in Physical Science / Chemistry or equivalent qualification in Chemical Science / Forensic Science / or equivalent/ subjects with at least 55% aggregate marks. (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (FireArms)	05	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Physics / Forensic Science / Equivalent qualification in Physical science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Forensic Psychology)	04	(i) Must be a holder of M.Sc., Degree in Psychology or its equivalent qualification/ subjects with specialization in Forensic Psychology / Clinical Psychology with at least 55% aggregate marks. (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Computer Forensic)	04	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Computer science / Electronics / Physics / Forensic Science / Information Science or Technology / Equivalent qualification in Physical Science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (Or) (ii) M.Tech degree from any recognized university in Computer Science / Electronics / Information Science or Technology / Telecommunication / Equivalent qualification with at least 55% aggregate marks. (iii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Mobile Forensics)	04	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Physics / Forensic Science / Information Science or Technology / Equivalent qualification in Physical science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (Or) (ii) M.Tech degree from any recognized university in Computer Science / Electronics / Information Science or Technology / Telecommunication / Equivalent qualification with at least 55% aggregate marks. (iii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Audio Video Forensics)	04	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Physics / Forensic Science / Information Science or Technology / Equivalent qualification in Physical science with at least 55% aggregate marks. (Or) (ii) M.Tech degree from any recognized university in Computer Science / Electronics / Information Science or Technology / Telecommunication / Equivalent qualification with at least 55% aggregate marks. (iii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.
Scientific Officer (Toxicology)	04	(i) Must be a holder of Master’s Degree in Chemistry/pharmacology / Bio-Chemistry / Forensic Science / Equivalent qualification in Chemical science with at least 55% aggregate marks (ii) Must have not less than two years of research experience as a research scholar in any research institution recognized by the Government.

Age Limit:- 21 – 35 years

Pay Scale:- Rs.40900-78200 per month

Eligibility criteria for Police force

In order to be a part of the Police force, a candidate has to appear for the competitive Indian Police Service or IPS exams. Apart from that, there are other requirements to be qualified as IPS officer. For male officers, minimum height requirement is 165 cm and for female offices it is 150 cm.
